Next week on Thursday 7 September it is Outdoor Classroom Day. It is a global movement and Holy Family is just one of 13,500 schools taking part in this fantastic day. Outdoor Classroom Day will be a day of explorative play, learning and team work that will takes place outdoors.

Students will be involved in 4 different rotational activities throughout the day, these activities range from Sports Clinics including Hockey from Hockey SA, Netball, AFL 9’s to Art activities including Indigenous Art, Log Owls and Mosaics, Treasure Hunts and Ninja Warrior Courses. All activities will take part in Holy Family School and in the adjoining Grevillea Drive Reserve.

Students will also be making their own ‘restorative roll’ (salad roll) for lunch. They will not need lunch on that day, but they will still need their recess and fruit snack. The canteen will be open at recess and lunch still but you will not be able to order lunch.

As it is a day outdoors where the students will be moving around and spending their day outside, please wear sports uniform.

We welcome any parent volunteers that have a police clearance to come and take part. If you would like to volunteer to help on this day, please see your child’s class teacher.
