Food Production
Our focus on food production comes from a variety of influences. We are all acutely aware that the world needs to start producing more food. At Holy Family our approach is to act locally. We are also learning together about the joys of cooking using freshly grown produce.
Gardens
As we prefer to do things “whole school”, every class is responsible for their own patch of garden. Our ecology group can offer advice about what to plan when or students and teachers conduct their own research.
Fruit Trees
Our policy has always been to encourage staff and students to regularly eat fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the school day. We have planted orange trees to take the notion of freshness to a whole new level!
