OSHC Worker – Qualified

The OSHC Worker will support the OSHC team at Holy Family Catholic School in the provision of quality OSHC services. The OSHC Worker will be responsible for assisting the OSHC service to lead a balanced and engaging learning environment which is centred upon the needs of the children and outlined in the National Quality Standards.

The role of the Qualified OSHC worker is:

  • To assist in the provision of a high quality out of school care program which meets the expectations of the Approved Provider, families and children.
  • Supported by an experienced team, this position will provide care, activities and educational elements to those in the program.
  • To work within the centre’s philosophy, policies and procedures as part of a team.
  • To work within the requirements of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the framework for School Age Care – My Time, Our Place and other relevant legislation, for example, Work, Health & Safety.
  • Attend Staff meetings as required.
  • Undertake other duties as determined by the Principal from time to time

Employment Conditions and Benefits:

Holy Family Catholic School provides a supportive, inclusive and stimulating work environment, with access to outstanding facilities and resources to enable excellence. The employment terms and conditions are governed by the South Australian Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020.

  • The casual hourly rate for this position starts at $41.78 per hour in accordance with the South Australian Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020.
  • Hours of work during term time will vary across a weekly roster depending on ratio requirements. Shifts will be a minimum of 2 hours.
  • During school term breaks (Vacation Care) hours will be negotiated with the OSHC Director to reflect the needs of the Vacation Care Program.
