Early Learning
OUR FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE
We welcome all of God’s children and recognise everyone as capable, competent learners from birth. Our little learners have opportunities to play, discover and pursue interests and explore curiosities. Commitment to the well-being of every child is core to our daily practice.
Our Values
Relationships
We believe that relationships are central to learning and build trusting bonds that support each child to feel seen, heard and valued. Collaborative enquiry projects are undertaken regularly, where knowledge is developed co-contstructively by educators and children.
Play
Play provides us with such valuable insight into each child’s capabilities and learning dispositions, providing children with motivation to learn about the world around them. A variety of open-ended natural and processed materials are offered in both indoor and outdoor environments for children to use in their play.
100 Languages
We understand that children, especially at this age, will communicate in various ways, through both verbal and non-verbal modes. Strategies are in place to provide the best opportunity to support children with their receptive and expressive communication including visual cues and key word signs.
Partnership with Families
Parents are the first teachers. We welcome your input, questions and ideas regarding your child’s learning. Throughout the year, we invite families to participate in community events.
