Exceptional Facilities for Lifelong Learning
At Holy Family Catholic School, our purpose-built facilities are designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, wellbeing and a lifelong love of learning. From nature-based education and innovative design spaces to supportive wellbeing environments, every area of our school provides students with opportunities to explore, discover and thrive.
Kuyangani Wetlands & Learning Centre
The Kuyingani Wetlands provide a unique outdoor learning environment where students can connect with nature and engage in authentic environmental education. This living ecosystem supports hands-on exploration of biodiversity, conservation and sustainability, encouraging students to develop a deep appreciation for the natural world while learning through real-world experiences. The Kuyangani Wetlands include species such as the critically endangered Yarra Pigmy Perch and Southern Pigmy Perch, Glass Perchlet and the less endangered River Murray Rainbow.
Our innovative Native Fish Breeding Program gives students the opportunity to participate in environmental stewardship and scientific inquiry. Through observing life cycles, monitoring aquatic habitats and contributing to breeding and conservation efforts, students develop practical skills in science, sustainability and responsible care for living systems.
Curiosity
The Curiosity Space is the heart of innovation at Holy Family, empowering students to think critically, collaborate and solve real-world challenges. This dynamic learning hub encourages creativity and discovery through inquiry-based learning and hands-on experiences.
Within Curiosity, the Forum provides a flexible gathering area where students can come together to share ideas, present projects, collaborate with peers and engage in meaningful discussions. It is a vibrant space that supports communication, leadership and community connection.
The Design Lab inspires students to become creators and innovators. Equipped for hands-on learning, experimentation and prototyping, this space encourages students to apply design thinking, explore emerging technologies and bring their ideas to life through creative problem-solving.
