Relationships
We believe that strong relationships are fundamental to learning, and we strive to build trusting bonds that enable each child to feel seen, heard, and valued.

Play
Play offers valuable insight into each child’s capabilities and learning dispositions, motivating them to make sense of the world around them.
We provide a rich selection of open-ended natural and manufactured materials in both indoor and outdoor environments, enabling children to engage deeply and creatively in their play.
100 Languages
We recognise that children communicate in many different ways, using both verbal and non-verbal forms of expression. Children communicate not only through speech but also through art, movement, music, construction, drama, imagination, and many other forms of expression. Each of these modes represents a valid and meaningful way of thinking, learning, and sharing their ideas.
To support each child’s receptive and expressive communication, we implement a range of intentional strategies, including visual cues and key word signing.
These approaches ensure that every child has the opportunity to be understood and to express themselves confidently.

We recognise parents as their child’s first and most influential teachers. We welcome your insights, questions, and ideas as valued partners in your child’s learning journey.
Throughout the year, we invite families to engage in learning conversations and participate in a range of community events that strengthen our partnership and support each child’s growth.
Our Service
At Holy Family Catholic School, we offer both Long Day Care and Preschool programs for children aged 3 to 5 years, with enrolments accepted throughout the year.
Children who turn 4 years of age before 30 April are eligible to commence Preschool in Term 1, while children who turn 4 years of age before 31 October are eligible to begin Preschool in Term 3.
Our Preschool program operates from 8:30am to 4:00pm during school terms and provides a high-quality learning environment that supports children’s growth, development, and school readiness.
For families requiring additional care, Long Day Care is available from 6:30am to 6:00pm, including before and after Preschool sessions. Long Day Care also operates during school holidays, providing ongoing care and support for families when Preschool is not in session.
Breakfast, morning tea, and afternoon tea are included for children attending Long Day Care. As an approved Child Care Service, eligible families may be able to access the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to help reduce out-of-pocket childcare costs.

Flying Start
We are proud to be an official Flying Start Partner, working with the South Australian Government to deliver a high-quality preschool program for three-year-old children from Term 1, 2027.
The Flying Start program is designed to strengthen the quality and equity of early childhood education through age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences. The program is led by a qualified early childhood teacher and follows the Early Years Learning Framework, supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development during these important early years.
Children who turn 3 years of age before 30 April can commence the program in Term 1, while children who turn 3 years of age before 31 October can begin in Term 3.
As a Flying Start partner service, we have access to additional support, professional learning opportunities, and resources that enhance outcomes for children and families. This enables us to provide even greater support where it is needed most and continue delivering high-quality early learning experiences for every child.
Families with children already enrolled at Holy Family Catholic School do not need to take any further action. New families are invited to complete an Application for Enrolment.

To enrol your child for Long Day Care and/or Preschool, please complete an enrolment application for each child using the link below. Please note that completing the form can also include enrolment into Reception.
Holy Family Catholic School Early Learning has a minimum booking requirement of 2 days per week for all enrolments.
